VALENTINE MATH
Mrs. Regh's and Mrs. Calvanese's classes gathered together in the library on Valentine's Day for a math lesson with Mrs. Buscemi. Together, they all worked on Skittle Math. They began by separating the Skitles into colors. Then, they made a tally chart, followed by a bar graph. A line plot followed, and the answering of some questions. They then made line plots for each color and answered related questions. This was a solid math lesson that was also a great way to review for the Math MCAS.
GRADE 3 SHARED BIOGRAPHY PROJECTS
The third grade just finished their unit in Reading on Biographies. They all learned a lot about the people they chose to read about and wanted to share their new knowledge. Mrs. Calvanese invited Mrs. Murphy's class to the gym where to listen to the presentations. Mrs. Murphy's class rotated around the gym in order to hear all about all the famous people. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, Mrs. Regh's class was presenting their projects.
WINTER CONCERT
It was great to welome back families and gather all the students together for our first concert since COVID. The fourth grade chorus sang 4 songs (Candy Man, Suzy Snowflake, My Favorite Things, and Just One Candle). While grades K and 1 (Mister Sun) sang together, and grades 2 and 3 sang a song tgogether (Get Your Winter On). We are looking forward to another concert in the Spring.
