It's not easy being Green

Guppies in Week 4 of "Weeks of Colors"

All about Green

As we enter our fourth week of "Weeks of Colors", the Guppies will continue to identify and label color within the classroom and in our themed centers. The Guppies have been excited to come to school and see how the play centers transform week to week. Each week we emphasize COLORS and sing, paint, create, and explore the specific color . During this unit especially, we'll utilize our sensory tables to create colorful sensory bins, a sorting station filled with green objects and textures, and visits from green characters (like Froggy Friday) at storytime.

This week, we'll be making green playdough, green collages, and mixing Blue and Yellow paint using bouncing balls. We'll discuss the books Go Away Green Monster and Little Blue and Little Yellow.

We look forward to sharing all the colorful things we're learning with you! Thanks for all you do to make our days brighter and filled with joy!

Tune: “Down By The Station”

Down at the paint store
Early in the morning.
See the little paint cans
Standing in a row.

See the paint worker
Mix yellow paint, in red.
Stir, stir, stir, stir
Now it’s orange paint - instead!
