What else do universities require in addition to the normal high school grades?

GHA goes the extra mile to prepare students better by availing and advising on other college entrance exams such as the SATs, IELTS, and TOEFL.

In additional to standardized tests such as those listed above students also need a transcript, which will list all their grades from Grade 9-12 plus letters of recommendation. Students will most likely need to draft an essay to also include with their application. Increasingly universities are prioritizing other non-academic areas as well, such as community service and participation in clubs, after school programs, international exchange programs and sports teams.

Why are these additional exams important?

The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States, but increasingly demanded by other countries.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication.

Test of English as a Foreign Language® is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities

GHA is a registered SAT center and students can register in OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, MARCH, MAY AND JUNE each year. We are also open to the community.

Our students are able to join the SAT club that meets on Mondays from 3:45 to 4:45 pm to help them prepare for the test.
