The properties of matter
There are many things that aren't the same about each state of matter.
Now a solid has definite shape and volume, so even if you smash it into a pancake or whatever, it will have the same Volume, but it will look different.
A liquid has no definite shape, but it has definite volume. No matter what container you put it in, it will take the shape of that container. No matter what.
Time for the hardest one, a gas. This state of matter has no definite shape or volume.
By the way it's always around us!
Solids
Solids are everyday things like ice cubes, books, you're phone, even yourself. Fun fact, some solids can become liquids, like ice cubes.
Liquids
A liquid has no definite shape, but it has definite volume. Think about water. It always takes the shape of it's container.
Gas
A gas has no definite shape or volume. Think of Co2,or Carbon Dioxide. No matter what you do, it can't take the shape of a container it is put in.
In the end...
It was easier than you think.
