St. John Lutheran School exists to nurture children in faith and intellect, equipping them for Christian lives of service.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest."
A Slice of “Spiritual Bread” for the Christian Home . . .
1 Give thanks to the Lord.
Proclaim his name.
Make his deeds known among the peoples.
2 Sing to him, make music to him.
Meditate on all his wonders.
3 Take pride in his holy name.
Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Psalm 105: 1-3
What would your “Thanksgiving List” look like today? I am not talking about the list you may take to the store to get the items for a wonderful family meal on Thanksgiving Day. I am asking what your list ~ together with your loved ones ~ of “Thanks” would include.
The words of the Psalmist offer you and me a timely reminder. As we think about the blessings ~ and there are many ~ of our gracious Lord; we have a special opportunity before us. That special chance is to offer thanks and praise to our God in various ways!
Have a wonderful day and may Jesus always keep you in His care!
Blessings in Christ,
Jon Woldt, Principal

“Welcome Home” Sunday, October 20!
Please consider joining our St. John family on Sunday, October 20, for our worship service at 9 am. We are only having one service this weekend. Our “Welcome Home” event, we pray, will give a special opportunity for members of our St. John family to connect. After the service, we will have a special time of fellowship that will include an “ice cream social.” Please join us!

Robotics Here at St. John!
St. John is working with Shoreland High School and the REC Foundation to enter the world of robotics competition. We will be establishing one to two teams (depending on interest, coaches/volunteers) of students in grades 4-8.
We do need help to make the most of this program. We are looking for coaches (volunteers) to help facilitate this program. Previous experience is not needed, but can be helpful!
Below you will see a suggested outline of the time commitment. If this is something you would be interested in helping with and would like more information, please let Sarah Lofsness or Ms. Saidler know!
What is the Time Commitment?
October - Organizational meeting with interested students/parents
October-December - Hold 1-2 build sessions per week after teams are established (1-1.5 hours each)
Best practices say hold the first 2-4 sessions on Saturday mornings for 2-3 hours to get organized, designing, and building
December-January - hold practices, scrimmages, and allow for students to fine-tune robots
January - Wisconsin Valley IQ Tournament @ SLHS
Additional tournaments (determined by participating school)
February - State Tournament (Must qualify to attend)
April - Worlds (Must qualify to attend)
Again, thank you for considering this and please let Sarah Lofsness or Hannah Saidler know if you are interested in helping, or know of someone else who may!
