Week 5: September 25- 29, 2023
Blanche K. Bruce Elementary School
Hello Bruce Community!
I believe that students can learn and succeed if they are given the necessary supports and resources. Our administrators, teachers, and staff are committed to providing all students with an appropriate and rigorous educational experience in an environment that fosters learning and growth. I am extremely proud of our students' efforts during the BOY assessments last week. This week, our students will continue to take the beginning of the year assessments (BOY). Please make sure your child arrives at school by 7:45 a.m. to eat a nutritious breakfast and be in class by 8:00 a.m. to receive high-quality instruction and immediate interventions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the front office. Please be sure to read the "Bulldog Bulletin" every Sunday as it contains important information from the school, PTO, My Brother's Keeper, and other community partners.

Assistant Principals' Pop
I'm excited to share fantastic news about our students' recent reading assessments. They've had an amazing week, and their hard work is truly appreciated. These test results will help us track their growth throughout the year, ensuring we provide the best support.
A quick reminder: encourage your students to read a bit every day—it's a magical journey that nurtures a love for learning. Lastly, ask your child what they love about their reading class. It's a great conversation starter! Thank you for your continued support.
We're off to a good start. Our students are using test-taking strategies and are pleased with their assessment results thus far. Thank you for your ongoing support, parents.
