Arroyo Seco Jr. High School -- October 19, 2018
Principal's Message
Hello Seco Families,
As you know, today is the last day of the first quarter. Final Quarter 1 grades will be posted on Infinite Campus Tuesday, October 23, after 3 pm. You will be able to access your child's Quarter 2 schedule on Sunday afternoon, October 21. Please note that schedules viewed prior to that time may not be accurate. If you are unable to access your child's schedule through the phone app (see below for info. about the new apps) or through a computer at home, your child can pick up a schedule from the counseling department before school on Monday, October 22. We are looking forward to a great start to the 2nd quarter!
There have been some concerns related to viewing grades with the new Campus Portal apps across the district. This may be more of an issue at the high school level, but please know that this is being addressed. If you have difficulty until these concerns are resolved, you can continue to use the old app or access your child's grades through the computer.
Arroyo Seco participated in the Great California Shakeout yesterday, which provided us the opportunity to practice procedures in the event of an emergency situation like an earthquake. The drill, which lasted 45 minutes, was a success and student behavior was excellent. Thank you for supporting our efforts at ensuring your children's safety.
The counseling department is offering a teenage grief group (TAG). The purpose of the group is to help students process their grief by participating in various healthy activities with peers who are also experiencing loss. If your child has experienced a loss of a significant person in their life within the last few years and you would like your child to participate in this group, please email Sue Dielentheis at sdielentheis@hartdistrict.org.
Please take a look at the Halloween Dress Guidelines below. Remember that all regular school dress code guidelines still apply.
Have a great week!
