Paraguay
Our country is Paraguay. The capital city of Paraguay is Asuncion. The population in Paraguay is about 6.5 million, as of 2009. Paraguay's government is a Representative Democratic Republic. The president of Paraguay is Horacio Cartes. The currency exchange rate is 1 U.S. dollar is equal to 4,695.74 Paraguayan Guarani.
Paraguayan Flag
The Paraguayan flag was inspired by the French. The red symbolizes courage, equality, and patriotism. The blue symbolizes liberty, benevolence, and truth. The Coat of Arms represents the Paraguayan Independence day. The olive branch symbolizes peace. The palm branch symbolizes honor.
Arroz Quesu
It is a cheesy rice dish; one of the most popular and simplest dishes to make.
Bife Koygua
This dish is quick and easy to prepare for occasions.
Bori Bori
Bori-Bori is a soup with cornmeal-cheese dumplings from Paraguay made with meat, and vegetables.
Paraguayan Style
Some popular Paraguayan food is arroz quesu, asado, bife koygua, bori bori, and chipa guazu. They like lace making, called "nanduti," along with playing music, and making ceramics.
Casa de la Independencia
One of the most major tourist attractions in Paraguay is Casa de la Independencia ("House of Independence), it was built in 1774 and is a reminder of the Paraguayan struggle for their independence.
Casa de los Diputados
Casa de los Diputados is located in the capital city, initially a military college, the building is now a cultural center. It served as a blood bank during the Chaco War.
Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls is a designated UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. It has much aesthetic beauty, and is pleasing to the eye of the tourist.
Geography of Paraguay.
Paraguay borders with Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil. The Paraguay River divides the country into two aides, Eastern Paraguay and Western Paraguay.
