Ensuring Compliance with ETR and IEP Processes
Workshop Description & Overview
Date: September 26th @ Bellefontaine High School - Distance Learning Center
Target Audience: Intervention Specialists, Related Service Staff (SLPs, AUDs, School Psychologists, PTs, OTs, etc.), Directors, General Education staff, and any other school personnell that work reguarly with IEPs.
Overview: This interactive session is targeted to special education teachers as they prepare to write their IEP's with current information to start the school year (2018-19).
The training will focus on the required elements of the IEP, particularly sections 6 (Present Levels and Measurable Goals), 7 (Specially Designed Services), and 11 (Least Restrictive Environment). IDEA updates will be provided as available.
Topics will Include:
• An overview of the requirements of an ETR
• An overview of the requirements for a compliant IEP

Contact Hours:
- Contact Hours: Six (6) Contact Hours Provided by the MRESC
- Graduate Credit Available? Yes - Contact hours from this event may be utilized toward a semester hour** of graduate credit. **Additional details will be provided at the workshop. Each semester hour of credit must be purchased separately through Ashland University at a rate of $235 per credit hour.
Registration Fees:
- $0 for Hardin, Shelby, Logan, Madison, and Champaign County Public School Districts, Boards of DD, & Career Centers.
- $45 for school districts outside of the above counties or other agencies/non-profits.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS
What time should I arrive at the training site? Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the check-in process.
Food & Beverage: Bottled water and assorted breakfast bars will be available at the beginning of each session. While coffee or other food will not be served, participants are free to bring snack items for themselves or to share with the group. Lunch will be on your own. Please plan accordingly…..
What You Should Bring? Participants should bring note taking materials and writing utensils with them to the session.
Our Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must be received by September 15, 2018. Cancellations received outside of this policy will not be accepted. Attendees and/or employing districts will be billed accordingly.
