Leaders of Learning
This week's nominees:
Diann Fortune: I would like to nominate Diann Fortune for the tremendous job she does everyday in the media center and her willingness to solve computer problems! Thank you so much.
Lisa Scales and Monica Lyons: I would like to nominate Ms. Scales and Ms. Lyons for being a leader. During their writing time this week, the students wrote about what we were celebrating for Red Ribbon Week. They connected our themes and made the students really think about why they are making good choices. It really made my heart happy when I saw their work hanging outside their room!
Gloria Crabtree and Charity Blanchard: Collaborating to write an "Ignite the power of STEM" grant
Damita Nocton: Collaborating with Rhonda Hawkins at Sandhills Community College to write a grant for a Playpod on our Playground
Alicia Nazar, Matt Regan, Lori Passmore, Cinda Dedmond, Tammie Earhart: Collaborating to bring us a most outstanding Red Ribbon Week!!
Thomas Tidbits
This section of the newsletter will include information from Alvita Thomas.
Please read the following information concerning the process of referring discipline the the office.
1. Staff are required to complete an office referral for all discipline issues.
2. Please do not bring student's without the written, approved documentation. A copy of the form will be placed in your boxes. Only use those forms please(green paper).
It has become a difficult task with students being escorted to the office for the various discipline reasons and not have documentation. So, please help us by following the above request. If you have questions, please let me know.

I start my first groups on Monday, Nov 3. The groups are called Banana Splits. I sent emails to all the teachers of the students in the group. If you have any questions for me, let me know.
Conference Room
Just a reminder to reserve the conference room you have to send an email invite to JoEllen Richter. If a last minute meeting comes up, you need to check with JoEllen, Tamika or me to see if it is open. I'm finding that a lot of people are reserving the room but when it's their time to use it someone else is in there, that didn't reserve it. I understand meetings pop up but for those people that planned to use it and can't, it leaves them running around looking for a place to meet.
