Want to make an impact?
More about VFA:
Venture for America is a fellowship program for recent grads who want to learn how to build a business while making an impact. VFA Fellows get training and join a startup in an emerging US city, where they live and work for two years at one of our hundreds of partner companies. They learn hands-on what it takes to build a company, while getting the mentorship, network, and ongoing support to prepare them to become successful entrepreneurs. Our goal is to spark job growth in cities that need it by sending our top talent to help grow the businesses that will make it happen.
Anyone is welcome--you don't have to be a graduating senior! Come by for a bit if only to meet Victor and see what opportunities might await you!
STEM Internships- Look no further!
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of 17 participating DOE laboratories/facilities. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting the DOE mission.
Registration is open from now until January 8 @ 5 PM.

FREE TICKETS TO THE BARNES-THIS FRIDAY
OpenArts, an office within Campus Philly, is hosting a college night at the Barnes Foundation. If you are unfamiliar, the Barnes is an INCREDIBLE collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works all collected by one man, Dr. Barnes. The collection used to be housed in the Philly suburbs, but because of funding and attendance, was moved to downtown a few years ago. The new building is awesome and recreates the original galleries to something like 1/36th of an inch.
In order to get free tickets, you need to create an OpenArts account. When prompted to enter a code, type incampusphilly1516. I spoke to the lady from OpenArts on the phone this morning and they have some incredible free events, from orchestra tickets to museum admission, so its worth getting on their listserv.
