Bellville Elementary Newsletter
December 2021
Happy December! Thank you so much to all of the parents who met in person or via zoom for parent/teacher conferences! We continue to strive to work closely with families to provide the best educational experience for every student in our care.
Since our students do not have music this nine weeks, we wanted to do something to incorporate holiday music into the month. Each day has been assigned a song, which will be played during morning announcements, and an activity to help us begin each day on a high note. Participation is optional. Please see the December to Remember Calendar below for our schedule of events.
Please feel free to contact the school at (419) 886-3244 if you have any questions or concerns. We wish you a wonderful holiday full of laughter and memory making with those you love! Take care and we looking forward to seeing you in 2022!!

MISS HESTON'S HUB
Welcome to this, my first entry, in our newsletter! I hope everyone’s year is starting well! For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure to meet, my name is Stephanie Heston and I am the new Bellville Elementary School Social Worker. A little about me in case you are wondering: I have both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Akron with a concentration in Child Welfare and have extensive training in trauma and play therapy. I have experience in Children’s Services, foster and adoptive care, residential centers, and community mental health. In addition to the school, I also work part-time in a private practice, where I have worked for 8 years. In short, I LOVE children and working with them to make their lives better and I am thrilled to be at Bellville!
Since I have been at the school, I have been working with children individually as needed and have started a few groups this semester: both boys and girls bullying groups and a social skills group. Next semester, I plan to run the following groups: Anger, Divorce/Separation, Grief, and a Girls’ Self-Esteem for 4th and 5th grade only. After a lot of parent and teacher input, the enrollment for these will be much different and more information about this will be coming soon.
Should you have any questions at any time, or wish to talk about any concerns for your child and their social-emotional growth, please feel free to call me at the school at (419) 886-3244, or you can email me at hestons@clearfork.k12.oh.us. Thank you!
