Cell Phone Management Highlights a Great Start at Central
This has been a great teaching tool for us, as well. Students and staff now can see the benefits of managing cell phones and time spent on them. Also, this experience helps to promote our Balanced Lifestyle and Digital Awareness components of the GFC Portrait of a Graduate.
As Central families, we appreciate your support in teaching and promoting these important life skills. Related to student management of their cell phones, is their sleeping habits. We know many students who are on their phones much of the night and come to school sleep-deprived. We encourage families to remove cell phones from the bedrooms of their students to make sure they get the sleep needed to be ready to learn when they come to Central.
Our advice: Remove cell phones from students' bedrooms and get them an alarm clock. Your student will benefit greatly and you will be glad you did!
Onward Central!

Parents Lead: Monitoring
every stage in their lives is one important way to reduce their risk of becoming involved in
potentially harmful situations or engaging in risky behaviors. Start monitoring your kids early
on, in ways that are age-appropriate. In fact, the earlier you begin monitoring, the easier it will be to continue as your kids get older and the more they’ll expect it from you.

Mentor Center Daily Pick-up Guidelines & Sign Up Form
Use this form to sign up for the bus. The guidelines below must be followed.
- Students needing a ride from school to the Mentor Center must sign up using this form by 12:00pm each day that they need a ride. Students who fail to do so will not be picked up and will need to find another mode of transportation.
- Students who sign up and have a change in their plans must call the Mentor Center as soon as possible with an update. No-call/no-shows will result in an inability to ride the bus on the following day. Consistent breach of this guideline will result in suspension from the bus.
- Students will behave appropriately in a designated area while they wait for the bus.
The following pick up times and locations are for this week and ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Please check back here, our social media or email us if you have any questions.
Red River HS - 2:55-3:05 (wait outside Door #1)
Central HS - 3:15-3:20 (wait outside Door #2)

Schroeder MS - 3:50-3:55 (wait outside Door #2)

The bus needs to pick up many students from many different places. We are going to adhere to this schedule as closely as possible. Students not at the waiting spot at the designated time will not be picked up. Please note that the bus may be a few minutes early or late, depending on traffic.
There is limited space. We are only able to pick up 19 students from high school and 19 students from the middle schools. It is first come, first serve. This form will stop accepting responses at 12:01pm or when we have reached space capacity.
Signing up for the bus indicates that you understand these policies and procedures.
