The idea once again

The idea of equal rights for women is not a new one. The feminist movement of the 1970s and

‘80s is actually a re-emergence of a massive social reform movement, begun in 1848, at the Seneca Falls

Women’s Rights Convention. The women’s rights movement eventually focused its efforts on winning the

right to vote, a campaign that reached a successful conclusion with the passage of the Nineteenth

Amendment in 1920.

Carrie is a first- rate public speaker,also catt worked hard on the National American Women Suffrage.In 1912 Carrie Chapman Catt conceived the idea of organization to untie women. Catt position help win president Woodrow Wlison support federal suffrage amendment.

In November 1869, in Cleveland, Ohio, Lucy Stone organized the Boston-based American Woman Suffrage Association (AWSA) in opposition to the more radical National Women Suffarge (NWSA) that Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony had organized earlier that year. Only representatives from the established suffrage groups were invited to the AWSA convention, a departure from tradition.

In 1863, Susan B. Anothony and Stanton organzied women national loyal league to support and pettition for the thirteenth amendment out lawing slavery.They went on to compaign for full citizenship for women and inculding the right to vote, in fourteenth and fifteenth amendement.

HOW THE WORLD IS DIFFERENT

It made the world different because it gave all the women the right to vote
