Central Rolls Over Little Rock Christian

The Helena-West Helena Central Highs School Cougars scored thirty-three second quarter points to propell them to a 54-7 victory over the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors at Cad Polk Stadium.


Cougar quarterback Curly Brewer hit Anthony Lewis on a 39-yard touchdown pass to break a scoreless tie in the first quarter. This touchdown capped off a 3-play, 47-yard drive. After the first drive the Cougars never looked back. The Cougars scored on the next 5 drives, to take a 40-0 lead at halftime.


With a running clock in the second half, the Cougars got a 35-yard touchdown run to cap off a five-play, 50 yard drive. With 7:46 remaining in the game, Markese Williams caught an interception and return it for a touchdown, this capped off the scoring for the Cougars at 54-0


The warriors avoided a shutout when Toulo Amole rushed for a 39-yard touchdown run with 4:06 remaining in the game.

Basketball Season Kicks off!

Benefit Red/White Game

It has hit the month of November and that means basketball season is right around the corner. The Central High Courgar and Courgarettes will have their annual intersquad Red/White game. The game will be held at the uphill gym November 11, at 6:00 p.m. The admission will be a can good. Come out and support your 2013-2014 basketball Courgars and Courgarettes!!
