Our New Band director, Mrs. Cavenaugh

Have you met the wonderful and talented band director, Mrs. Cavenaugh. She is new, so you may not have. This may help you learn a little more.

Well, she loves her new job. She wanted to be a band director because she loves music and likes to share it with others. She likes to teach every instrument (she doesn’t have a favorite). The person that inspired her was her high school band director when she was in high school, he was like a father to her. She likes to teach all the grades equally so she also doesn’t have a favorite. I asked what she did in her free time and she said “what free time haha!!” She likes spending time with her kids and drinking hot chocolate with her daughter. She went to SFA for college and loved it! She has worked in Hudson, Rust, and Huntington all teaching band. She doesn’t think that teaching band is hard but she thinks that it always has ups and downs!

That’s all about Mrs. Cavenaugh. She is a great band director and loves music and her family. Mrs. Cavenaugh loves her job and is looking forward to more years having fun!!!!

Editorial by Carter Mize

There has been a real problem with students not taking care of their trash after lunch and breakfast. It is not difficult to throw trash away as you walk by the trash cans. It appears to be very disrespectful to Mr. Jeff and all the other custodians who work so hard to keep our school clean. So please be mindful of your own trash and help to keep our school clean and not make those who take care of us to work so hard.

"Dear Gurn Blanstein" by Kaleigh Sauer

"Dear Gurn Blanstein,
I lost my binder. What should I do?
Sincerely,
LOST"

Dear lost,
First you will need to check the lost and found. If its not in there then, ask some of your teachers if they have seen it. Next, you can check with the office. If you still cannot find it then you should probably check everywhere in your house!! And if you still can't, then you might need to buy a new one! I hope I helped you!
Sincerely,
Gurn bBlanstein
