Mills Bomb
The Mills Bomb is a hand grenade with a pineapple design. The first models had a seven second delay, but eventually it was shortened to four. It was created by William Mills in 1915, and was first used by the British army. This weapon helped to give more explosive power to just one soldier instead of having to only have a team specifically for explosive weapons. That was very handy for trench warfare. The latest version that was created is still used in parts of the Middle East and Asia today.
German Stick Grenade
The German Stick Grenade was also introduced in 1915. It was basically a grenade with a stick attached to it. That helped to greatly improve throwing distance compared to other grenades like the Mills Bomb. The Germans were the first to use this grenade in World War I. This weapon and its variants are no longer in use today.

Launchers
The Leach Trench Catapult was designed by Claude Pemberton Leach in 1915. It was used to launch projectiles into enemy trenches. It was first used by the British army in World War I. It helped to get bombs into enemy trenches during the war. Both the Sauterelle and West Spring Gun were similar to the Leach Trench Catapult. The Sauterelle was invented in 1915 and was first used by the French army in World War I. The West Spring Gun was invented by Allen West in 1915. It was originally used by the British Army. All of these launchers were eventually replaced so are no longer in use today.
