Mental Health and Wellness Corner
It is important for children to develop the right mindset at an early age. When this is done, it allows them to feel empowered, try harder, and get better at things. Having a growth mindset also allows them to feel more confident, build resliency, and helps them feel less afraid to fail.

COMPUTERS, COMPUTERS, COMPUTERS
As you know, we gave EVERY student at Orchard a computer (chromebook).
These computers are "checked" out to them, like a library book.
Students and Families are responsible for their care.
- If they need repair, we may be able to replace them under warranty. We have a limited supply to do this. If they are not under warranty, the parent may be responsible to pay for it's replacement. You would need to call the school and make an appointment to replace it.
- If damaged/vandalized on purpose, there will be a charge placed on your child's profile, that must be paid by the end of the year. There also may be a consequence, that the child is not allowed to bring the computer home any longer and it is kept in the classroom.
- (See below Device Repair Rates/Obligations)
- If lost or stolen, please provide a police report to the school.
Please keep computers safe at night - charged - and away from food, drink and beds (they fall of the bed, often).
More to come later on end of year close outs for computers.
Thank you!
BUS SAFETY
Please spend a few minutes speaking with your child of these important safety reminders:
- Wear your mask on the bus.
- Stay seated (no standing) at all times in your assigned seat.
- Be respectful to the driver and other students.
- Eating/drinking is not allowed on the bus.
These rules are to keep everyone safe. Thank you!
