How fires start in the Kitchen
Most fires start when cooking with oil or grease. These are usually on the stove and can start at a moments notice. These usually happen at a high temperature and is very hard to put out.
Cover it up with the lid
One of the easiest ways to put out the stove fire is to use the pan lid or pot lid that you should have on hand.
Cover it with a cooking sheet.
Usually you have a metal baking sheet somewhere in your kitchen. This can be easily used to slide over the current pot or pan that is on fire. This is both very effective and prevents oxygen getting to the flame.
Dont cook oil or grease at a high temperature and always watch it.
One of the most obvious ways and most useful ways to prevent or stop a grease fire in the kitchen is to always watch what your doing and cooking as well as not setting it on too high of a temperature.
First aid for kitchen fires
1) One way to make a small burn go away or help feel better is to pour cold water on it for around 10 minutes
2) but a bandaid on it and take pain relief medication and see a doctor if it is os a higher degree burn.
