Thank You!

Thank for being so flexible with our field trip. I'm sorry that the YSI Closed the park, but it was great that we got to see the animals anyway. I will be crediting a portion of the field trip donation (from the cancelled bus--we still had to pay for the animal program) towards our next trip. We had a great time and I hope you learned lots about animals!

International Walk to School Day

International Walk to School Day is on Wednesday! Please remember the parking lot will be closed to all traffic, please plan your morning accordingly. We will be joined by a representative from the Office of Vice Mayor Rose Herrera, County Board of Supervisor Dave Cortese, Assistant Superintendent Dan Deguara, ETA President Brian Wheatley, and Evergreen Board of Trustees member Bonnie Mace.

The students from our Walk 'n Roll club will unveil a new addition to our school! After the morning festivities please join Mrs. Juarez in the Forum for "Coffee with the Principal". Topic of discussion will be on Safety.

PTA Reflections Contest

The Reflections Art Program due date is October 12th. I strongly encourage all students to participate. Students can share their stories through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography or visual arts. Students can submit entries in one or more categories.

Shoe Tying

The skill of tying your own shoes has become elusive for many students with the domination of velcro in the children's shoe market. However, it is a real-life problem that our students face. Beginning October 10, students who can prove that they have mastered this important self-help skill will be able to sign the giant shoe poster in the C Hallway. The first 1st grade class to get 100% of their students gets a prize. Please help us be the best!
