Note from the Principal-Cathy Jacobs
Thank you for your continued support for our fundraiser, the pledges continue to come in and we are so appreciative! All pledges are due on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd. Our Day of Awesomeness for ALL students will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24th. Please see the link in our volunteer opportunities. Anyone who would like to attend must volunteer for a shift. Thank you!
Your support in fundraisers allows our students to attend field trips, have access to more books/instructional materials, helps fund materials for Genius Hour and add additional technology tools to our classrooms!
We are forming a VIPS Committee that will consist of parents/guardians that we will reach out to for staff hospitality type events (dessert days, staff appreciation activities). If you are interested in serving on that committee, please complete the Google Form under Volunteer Opportunites below. The commitment level will vary depending on what you are able to do. It could be donating a dessert, organizing the event or volunteering your time on campus a few times a year. Any and all levels of support is appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!

Bite Size Behavior Tips from our Behavior Interventionist, Tracy Klare
Here at Matzke...we show our PRIDE!
Did you know that Matzke has a school motto? Students, Pre K-5th grade, practice all week long having PRIDE in every area in the building. PRIDE stands for Positive, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Example for Others. Each and every week, teachers and students, talk about what PRIDE looks like/sounds like in the classroom, the hallway, at recess, at lunch, the restroom, the cafeteria, on the bus, and during arrival and dismissal. Our common language helps our students, and the adults here at Matzke, understand that the expectations are the same in every grade level, every year, and in every area of the building. For showing PRIDE, students can earn PRIDE Passes. With those PRIDE Passes, students can buy special items and/or privileges from their teacher's menu, the school menu, or the school store. Ask your child this week about showing PRIDE at school. Ask them how many PRIDE passes they have earned. Help your child show PRIDE in everything they do and everywhere that they go.
