Eagle Eye

Eastview Elementary School - March 2016

Message from the Principal

It is hard to believe that it is already February. The month of January has flown by already. As always, our students, teachers and staff members have been hard at work making sure that we are exceeding expectations.

We received exciting news in January from the Indiana Department of Education. Eastview has been ranked an “A” school once again! This grade is based on overall passing rates on the ISTEP+ test and student growth on that assessment. I am very proud of our students, their families, our teachers, and support staff for their hard work!

As I’ve mentioned previously, this school year is definitely one of exciting change. We are currently working hard on the implementation of Indiana’s academic standards, which were revamped last year. These new standards have been designed with the goal of making every student college and career ready. Our emphasis this year is on helping our students develop the skills necessary to work through complex problems and to read and respond to complex text in all subject areas.

Thank you for all of your support!
