My voyage to a human muscle cell
By: Rachel Fodera, Nina Dunn, JaBriea Weaver
I've always dreamed of visiting a human muscle cell. When a human inhaled me, it was finally my chance. Here is when my dreams came true!
Before I left for my voyage, I was simple oxygen molecule in the sky, created through photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is how plants make their food using sunlight, carbon dioxide, chlorophyll, and water to create glucose and oxygen molecules.
I started my journey first by entering the nose.
Once I was in the body, I traveled through the pharynx and the trachea
I flowed down to the lungs after travelling through the throat.
After I got purified by the lungs, it was time to get shipped off to the heart.
The heart sends me through the artery to one of the muscle cells in the bicep. I'm so excited!
Once I finally enter a human muscle cell in the bicep, I am either turned into carbon dioxide, water, or energy. This was my voyage to the human muscle cell!
