FALL SEMESTER AWARDS NIGHT
Thursday, March 25, in the rain, RMMS celebrated over 200 scholars for earning a 3.0 GPA or above for the Fall Semester. Congratulations to those scholars and their families as the Fall semester was tough due to COVID - but that didn't stop these scholars! They still showed up to their virtual classes, turned in their work, asked for help, and excelled despite COVID! Take that COVID! Way to go! See photos above.
CLASSIC SCHOLARS RETURN TO CAMPUS - APRIL 5
All Classic scholars will return to school on April 5, at 9:30 am. Please be sure your scholar is ready for school, dressed appropriately, and has the necessary school supplies, including their charged Chromebook. Please do not allow your scholar to come to school with nothing. It makes for a tough day for them. If you need assistance with supplies, please reach out to Ms. Lucia and she will be able to help you. Please review the CLASSIC Scholar Newsletter below.
ASES PROGRAM AVAILABLE TO SCHOLARS STARTING APRIL 5
ASES program is available to parents who need to drop their scholars off prior to 30 minutes before school starts OR need to have their scholars stay after school until 6 pm. We strongly encourage families who drop their scholars off early to register for ASES as your scholar will be unsupervised until 30 minutes prior to the start of the school day. This is a FREE program. Please take advantage.
You can find it on the ASES webpage: CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE
COVID PROTOCOLS STILL IN PLACE
Just a reminder to our Classic scholars about the safety protocols that will be in place when you return to campus. If you choose to not follow these mandatory requirements, you may be moved to the Virtual model. It's everyone's job to keep everyone safe.
- Every scholar must get their temperature checked prior to coming on campus.
- Every scholar must have an approved mask that covers their mouth and nose on at all times while on campus, except when eating or drinking. No gators, bandanas, masks with vents. If you don't have a mask, we will give you one.
- Every scholar must maintain appropriate social distancing - which is 6 feet. This is a tough one for all of us! Everyone needs to keep their hands to themselves. Virtual hugs only.
- Hand washing will be encouraged.
- Please bring a re-fillable water bottle to school as all the water fountains are shut off.
- No sharing of food, drink, or other items. No sharing of anything :-(
- Scholars will have assigned seating in their classrooms AND at lunch.

HOW TO LIMIT SCREEN TIME WITHOUT CONFLICT- FROM SMART SOCIAL
Click the link above for the entire article.
There are many reasons to spend more time on screens for learning and relaxation. But finding the balance and knowing when enough is enough is a challenge and conflict between parents and students. It’s important to help students build healthy screen time habits, but for many parents and educators, that’s easier said than done.
Here's some ideas from the article.
1. Give your kid input in the screen time limitations process
2. Challenge your student to take a one-week vacation/detox from social media
3. Interact with your child during screen time use
4. Screen time is a lifestyle change
5. Connect with your teen, eat together technology-free, and shut down phones before bed
6. Give your child choices and set the screen time
7. Establish technology-free zones and other boundaries
8. Being a role model is the only way restrictions work
9. Develop offline family time activities
10. Establish boundaries, make a routine, and role model the habits you want them to form
11. Build a daily routine for your family
12. Kids should earn time on the internet instead of it just being given to them
