Preventing Kitchen Accidents
- All the cabinet doors are close when not in use
- Store anything that's sharp separately from other utensils example knives
- All your knives are not dull but sharp because if they are dull they will be more dangerous
- Wash knives separate from other sharp objects
- Never have a knife in soapy water to soak because it can cause disease and or infections
- Wipe up anything that spills to prevent anything more to happen
- Make sure that all handles on the stove is off the side and not over the other burners
- Always use oven mitts when taking anything form the oven do not use your hands
- To avoid any type of steam burns, take off lids away from yourself
- Make sure when you are done using the oven or stove top make sure that everything is off when not in use
- Keep anything that is flammable or electrical away from the burners
- Do not wear baggy clothes when cooking because they could cause many thing like fires
- Long hair is tied back in the kitchen
- Never leave cooking unattended
- Don't plug in to much plugs into one outlet
- Make sure that the oven and burners are clean to prevent anything that can harm you or that can catch in flames
- Make sure your hands are dry before touching electrical equipment
- Keep cords away from water
- Make sure to grab the plug not the cord when unplugging wires
- No metals utensils in toaster
- Do not mix any hazardous materiel and cleaning products
- Do not mix household chemicals

What to do in a emergency
If you cut yourself
- make sure run it under water to remove any debris to prevent infections
- To stop the bleeding use paper towel and apply direct pressure, if its on your hand or arm raise above your head
- When bleeding stopped, make sure to cover the cut with a bandage or gauze and tape
- Smother the fire with baking soda or slide a pot lid over the fire with a oven mitt
- Turn off the heat source
- Tell someone to help you if you can
- Leave the door close
- Turn off the oven
- and let the fire burn out
- Cool the burn down by running the area that u got burned under water for 10-20 minutes, do not use ice or ice cold water
- Do not apply toothpaste or butter, it wont help it will just make it burn
- Clean are with soap and water
- if it blister, do not pop it, it helps it heal

About Foodborne Illness
Foodbrone illness also referees as food poisoning is a illness resulting of contaminate foods, viruses, chemicals or natural toxins, parasites that contaminate foods, and pathogenic bacteria. Campylobacter is the most common foodborne illness, campylobacter causes fevers, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps
Preventing Foodborne illness
To prevent foodbrone illness, make sure when you are done cooking, keep ho food at 60'C (140'F) or hotter before its severed, severed hot food while hot, or put it in the fridge or freezer as soon as possible once cooled (within 2 hours), don't leave food out for more the 2 hours because its increases the risk of foodborne illness/food poisoning, divide hot party food into smaller severing containers, also wash all meats before cooking and severing
