Brooke Naylor, RN Braintree/Brookfield School Nurse

Hello Everyone! My name is Miss Brooke and I will be the new school nurse! I was born and raised in Northern Vermont but have happily relocated to Randolph. Since graduating from Castleton University, I have worked at both DHMC and UVMMC. I am very excited to be transitioning from a hospital role to a school nurse role. During the winter months, you can find me either at Brookfield elementary, Braintree elementary, or playing outside in the snow with my two dogs! I look forward to helping both schools finish the 21'-22' school year strong!

Vaccination Clinic at Randolph Elementary

Limited spots available, please sign your child up today!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Orange Southwest School District in conjunction with the Vermont Department of Health has a COVID vaccination clinic scheduled at Randolph Elementary School for December 16th from 12:00-3:45. Parents please see the link below if you would like to sign up for one of these slots for your child. Please keep in mind the following parameters:

  • 12:00-12:45- sign up slots for Brookfield and Braintree students, for parents that would like to have their child receive the shot without the parents present. There will be a bus organized to bus students from Braintree and Brookfield for the scheduled students.

  • 1:00-2:00- RES families can sign up for time slots for students to be vaccinated.

  • 2:00-3:45- Families from any of the three schools can sign up for these time slots. Please keep in mind that the parking lot at RES is very full from 2:15-2:45.

Please sign your child up using this link:

All children who are coming from the school without a parent present will also need to have a parent pre-fill out this medical questionnaire attached and have it sent back to the school nurse no later than the day of vaccination. Parents will need to fill it out a second time for the dose 2 clinic, and we will automatically schedule the dose 2 appointment while they’re there receiving dose 1. The date for the second dose is January 6th.

Luminary/Musical Outdoor Event

Students are working with Ms. Mittler in art to create luminaria-style lanterns. These lanterns will be lighted and on display outside at the playground end of the building after dark on Wednesday, December 15. Mr. Weselcouch is working with band and chorus students to have recorded music to accompany the lanterns. This is not a live performance. We hope that this display will bring a bit of light and joy into your life. All are welcome to come and view this outdoor event.

December - School Menu

Holiday break is fast approaching. Wednesday, December 22nd is an early release day (11:30a). The Food Service program will be preparing a bag lunch for students who sign up to take a lunch home with them on December 22nd.

We are asking that parents please fill out the information below and have your child turn it in to their teacher. This will help us prepare the correct amount of lunches for that half day of school.

Please help us by returning this form no later than MONDAY, DECEMBER 20TH
