Message from Mrs. Langston
I am so excited about the sunshine that is in our forecast this week! We will be spending as much time as we can playing, walking the track, and learning outside this week.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure computers are charged every night! Lately, our class has at least 5 students per day who bring computers to school not charged.
This week, we will continue learning about decimals. For this math standard, we will be comparing decimals. We will continue to have graded quizzes on division, fractions, and decimals this month. Please be looking for them, so that you can see how your child is doing in math.
Independent reading for at least thirty minutes each night is always very important, especially this time of year.
Learning Goals for the Week
ELA:
Writing
I can write a real or imaginary narrative using descriptive details and clear event sequences.
Math:
Decimals
I can learn how to use a decimal to represent a fraction.
Social Studies: Government
I can learn the chronology of key historical events in North Carolina history; understand how and why North Carolina was established; explain how people, events and developments brought about changes to communities in various regions of North Carolina.
Multiplication Practice Always Needed
