NCASC Fall Newsletter
September 2020
Introduction
This summer looked a little bit different, and we know already that this school year will, too. What we can all agree on is that student leadership in schools is needed now more than ever. This year, I will be interviewing people from around North Carolina for every newsletter (after this one). I will also be putting a different student council in the spotlight each time (after this one). At the end of this newsletter, there is a Google Form where you can input information for the next newsletter if you'd like your school to be featured for an event!
Thank you all so much for your continued support of the NCASC and all that you do.
Leadership 2.0
This year, leadership will look different. Most of us aren't at school, but are instead working from our bedrooms, living rooms, or kitchens. Therefore, it will be more difficult to organize a homecoming or a canned food drive. Here's a quote for some inspiration in your coming days! “A leader is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind.” — Nelson Mandela
