HISTORY OF THE GLOBE THEATER
The original Globe was an Elizabethan theater which opened in Autumn 1599. The Globe was where most of Shakespeare's plays were staged at, including Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Othello, King Lear and Hamlet. On June 29, 1613, the Globe Theater went up in flames during a performance of Henry the Eighth. A theatrical cannon, set off during the performance, misfired, igniting the wooden beams. The Globe Theater is great place, where all is welcome to come enjoy these historical plays.
