October 4- October 8 , 2021
Dear Gladiator Families,
Hello Gladiator Nation!!
Lots of great events and activates coming up!
We are especially proud to announce our 2nd Annual Garcia Day Of Service! This event is for EVERYONE! Students, families, and staff. What a great way to give back and truly be #garciareunited!! My family and I will be in attendance and I can't wait to see you all there! See the details below!
New GROW Schedule
In response to the requirements of HB 4545 we will be running what we will call a "GROW Schedule" each week until the end of the year. This GROW schedule will allow us to have a 30 minute period on Tuesdays/Thursdays ONLY. During this 30 minute period students will be separated into an intervention or study hall classroom. The intervention period will provide the required minutes for HB 4545, and the study hall will provide a structured environment for students to work in. The rest of the classes will be cut short, but only by a few minutes. This is similar to our "Gladiator GRIT" we run occasionally. Please see the schedule below.
Check out our spirit days below!

From PTA
Good Morning Gladiators! Now through Friday November 5th, your PTA is accepting entries for the annual Reflections program. Did you know? The Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts in an educational way. We urge you to create and submit your original works of art in the medium of your choice - dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts - reflecting on the theme "I Will Change the World By..." All submissions will be recognized for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful. Interested students can submit an entry online or in person. Rules & entry forms can be found at the Reflections display or online at https://www.txpta.org/reflections-participation, check out our Facebook posts or your Gladiator newsletter for all the details and a chance to win a prize for your artistic submission.
Student Check-Out
Please remember we will not check out students after 3:45.
Traffic
Traffic has improved so much!! Thank you for al your help. Just a couple of reminders: Please do not form lines in the front parking lot. If you are waiting for students, please park, walk to get your student and then you can exit the parking lot. Making two lines in the parking lot is not safe and we will begin asking you to park. This is a safety hazard for many reasons! There is no parking in the front pick up area. If your student is not out when you arrive, we ask you please circle around to get them. This helps our traffic flow. Please do not park along the street in the back of the bus loop or on street right outside our school. This does not allow for buses to enter or exit in a timely manner. Lastly, please do not pick up students in the Primrose parking lot. Not only does this cause issues for customers of the business, but causes a safety issue for students.
