Electromagnetic Waves

A Science Mini-Project by Gabriel Evans

What Creates an EM Wave?

Light disturbs electromagnetic fields which results in the creation of an electromagnetic, or EM, wave.

How Are They Different from Mechanical Waves?

Mechanical waves require a medium in order to travel, however electromagnetic waves are able to travel without a medium to do so through. Electromagnetic waves are entirely capable of traveling through a vacuum, such as space's.
