Today's Learning: Leadership
"Not every professional is a leader, and not every leader is a true professional. But if you want to be a great leader, you have to look, feel, and behave professionally at every moment of every day. Behave as if you're always onstage, because in a way, you are" p.245
ACTION STEPS
- Always display passion and commitment.
- Be excited about coming to work every day, and share that enthusiasm with your employees.
- Spend the right amount of time on the job, doing the right things in the right ways.
- Maintain a positive attitude, and make it contagious.
- Set the bar high, and personally live up to every standard you set.
- Find ways to break monotony and routine for people.
- Focus on collaboration rather than conflict in problem solving.
- Know when to step back and let others lead.
- Be a role model for professionalism. And remember, you are always onstage!

March PBIS Popcorn Event for ALL Grade Levels – Parent Volunteers needed
Our PBIS team has a Popcorn Rewards Day for all students on Tuesday, March 29th. Throughout each day, students can earn points for being proactive, respectful, and responsible. Students can then "spend" these points for rewards like a special chair in a teacher's class, a drawing for a special lunch, etc. If you are willing to volunteer their time, we have sign-up genius below. Please sign = up for one or many slots to help pop and pass out popcorn. Please consider helping us reward our students’ positive behavior for the rest of this month!
Scoliosis Screening for 6th & 8th Grade Students - Information & Volunteers Needed
Dear Parents/Guardians of 6th and 8th Grade Students:
The state mandated scoliosis screening for 6th and 8th grade students will take place on Wednesday, March 30th, during connections classes. We will be running a Flipped Bell Schedule that day to have all screenings occur during the morning.
The Parent Scoliosis Screening Letter must be returned (hard copy) to your student’s homeroom teacher if you do NOT want your student screened. If the form is not returned, your student will be screened on March 30th. There will be blank copies of the form available in the front office of the school if you need to have your student pick up a copy. If you wish to have your student screened, no action is required.
Volunteers are needed to help with the screening – training is provided. Please sign up to volunteer, and complete the required training.
Fast Facts About Scoliosis (English)
TRMS is planning to celebrate the many cultures and countries under its roof.
International Night will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 6:00 PM.
The ceremony will start with a Parade of Flags representing students from all over the world at TRMS, in this school year.
Following the parade, a cultural entertainment will be performed. Participants will display traditional dances, outfits, and other performances which will be followed by a sampling of food from different countries. Families are asked to bring an ethnic dish from their countries to share. It is required to list ingredients in these dishes to inform those who may have concerns with food allergies.

Backpacks of Love
At TRMS we have a program called “backpacks of love”. The purpose of this program is to provide assistance by donating non-perishable items to our families. The participants’ names are known only to the counselors and social worker. Once every two weeks a backpack with food items are available to go home. A student can carry the backpack home, or the parent can pick it up at the front office. All we need to know is if you would like to participate, how many adults are in the house, how many children are in the house, and if there are any dietary allergies such as peanut butter. We can only provide for a certain number of families so the sooner you reply the better. We will respond regardless of whether you are in the program or if supplies run out.
6th grade Counselor- Mr. Fredric Johnson
