Brazilian Interregional Migration
The population of Brazil used to be mainly on the east coast. The North and West regions of the country are barely colonized, and the government wants change. The government even moved the capital from Rio de Janeiro to Brasilia to increase migration. Now, due to that change and other efforts from the government, the population is slowly shifting to the west of Brazil. The Interregional migration in China is at a rapid pace, as nearly 100 million people have moved from the inner areas to the coast, as the coast has more urbanization. They migrate for jobs and educational purposes. Similarities include the transition of manufacturing and politics leading to the transition of population. Both regions also have a large land space, but only a certain part of their land spaces are highly populated, whereas other spaces are very spacious.
Russian Economic Relations and Effects on Interregional Populations
Russia has very clear economic this with Europe, the continent to its west, and therefore, most of the people in the massive country life in the clustered space close to the west. Many lands in the North, East, and South still remain desolate due to lack of urban areas. This is a clear example of need for jobs and economical opportunities resulting in migration of population. Also, during the Soviet Rule, Russian officials had forced people to move to far-off places. Many migrated back to their homes when the Soviets fell.
Inter-regional Migration and its Effects in Settling the American Frontier
Inter-regional Migration has been a big part in the settling of America's frontiers. The reasons in which people migrate within a country are differences in economy, wealth, climate, and other environmental factors. The examples if inter-regional migration are moves from rural to urban settlements, cities to suburbs, and etc. An example of migration within a country is migration to the west for more renewable resources. Most of the Americans left to the west for gold in California and better wages in the Transcontinental Railroad. Another example of migration within a country is in India, where most people are raised in pastoral settings move to cities so they can earn better wages, There is an Information Technology boom currently occurring and it would make much more sense if rural to urban moves are possible.
US's Westward Expansion
During the 1850's through the 1890's, the US started moving westward to due the belief of "Manifest Density" and westward expansion. The Transcontinental Railroad and other railroads were some of the main ways of transportation in this time period. People also migrated west due to the gold boom in California and the workers needed for the construction of railroads. There were also trails which led to the west, such as the Mormon Trail. Finally, there were other types of transportation, such as animals.
