We want to know what you did over the summer!!!
What did you do this summer to stay active?
The PE staff is asking for your help. We are putting together a bulletin board that focuses
on our great students here at Wells. We are showcasing our students and how they stayed active over the summer...or even now. If you have a picture (4”x 6”) of your child being active please print it out and send with your child so we can put it on our bulletin board.
Tigers On The Run Jog Club
Parents,
We are pleased to announce our Tigers on the Run Jog Club for the 2016-2017 school year. Our jogging club is open to all students in grades 2nd –5th and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:15am beginning September 27th thru May 11th. The students will have until 7:30am to run/walk/jog as many laps as they can and we will record the mileage for that day. Students will meet in the gym and at 7:15am. We will go out to our “track” that starts at the basketball court just west of the school. Students who arrive late will also need to come through the gym, tell teachers on duty where they are going and then head to the track to start running. If students arrive later than 7:25 they will not be able to run that day. If weather is bad, jog club will be cancelled and students
will remain in the gym until it’s time to go to their classroom. This is a great way for students to begin their day. Studies show that healthy active children are better learners!
Students in grades 2nd-5th as well as parents are invited to participate. Please register to participate by filling out the form below and return to one of the PE coaches. Registration is ongoing so students can join anytime throughout the year. We hope your child will join us for this fun and energizing way to start the school day! We also need parent volunteers to help with tracking laps...please considering joining us!
If you have any questions, please contact one of the coaches.
Have a great day!

From the Library
Wells Library Makerspace
Hello everyone! It's time for another exciting year in the Wells Library! Our Makerspace was a big hit last year so we are going to continue to create, build and explore this year on alternating weeks in the library. While some of our activities can be used and reused, our arts and crafts area requires a lot of consumable items. Almost 600 kids use up a lot of craft materials! These consumable materials are not funded by the school district. Please consider contributing some of these items to keep our Makerspace fresh and fun! Thank you!
