Cibolo Green PTA Newsletter
Volume 8, Issue 5 May 2018
Letter from the PTA President
Hello Champions!
It's hard to believe summer is here and we've finished yet another school year! The end of year newsletter newsletter is my personal favorite as we feature letters from 5th grade parents sending well wishes to their students as they graduate on to middle school. Moving on to middle school is quite the achievement and one that we celebrate with pride at Cibolo Green. Whether your student is graduating on to be a Tex Hill Tiger or another middle school, we wish your students the very best!
This month is my last month serving as CGE PTA President. It's been a pleasure serving the PTA, the school and the students in this role. The PTA Board and the many volunteers on our campus make Cibolo Green a great place to be. I feel lucky to be part of such a great community.
Enjoy your summer Champions!

Wow, we cannot believe that you are on your way to middle school! To say we are proud of you would be a huge understatement. You have done so well in all of your years at Cibolo Green. Not only did you make good grades, but you were so involved in an assortment of clubs, from Recorder Club, to Student Council, Helping Hands, to Learning Leaders, Green Club, and UIL. If there was a club, you most likely wanted to join it! You have a heart to serve and we are so thankful for that. You have grown up so quickly these past 6 years and God is molding you into such a magnificent young man. We love you more than you can ever possibly imagine and know that God is going to continue to do great things in your life as you grow! While we wish we could keep you in elementary school a little longer, we know that you are excited to go on to Tex Hill and you will continue to thrive in all that you do! Always remember to put God first and the rest will fall perfectly into place.
We love you to the moon and back to infinity!

You have bested every challenge, you have overcome every obstacle, and you are ready for your next adventure. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you so much. I watched you grow from an average student that never had to try, to a motivated young man that wanted to challenge himself. You have always known you were smart, but it wasn’t until the 5th grade that you wanted to be better every day. You started to enjoy the rewards of your hard work. I know you probably can’t stand my pushing you to be better every day, but I love watching how proud you have become of yourself. I know you thought you hated reading, but your imagination is incredible because of it. I am hard on you because you remind me of me. I was always okay with just getting by, because it meant I never had to put a lot of work in. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I wished I could be you in 5th grade again. I see you and want you to be better than me. I know you are better than me. You are the one person in the whole world that makes me want to be better. Please keep trying, no matter what. I am so proud of you and can’t wait to watch you continue to challenge yourself. You are going to middle school, where it is hard to stay focused. I know you can do this. You can focus- if you want to. Please want to. I want the best for you, but will always trust that you want the best too. I will always listen and always be here.
I love you.

Congratulations on finishing 5th grade! I am so very proud of the young lady you have become. You have made me extremely proud to be your Mom. As you prepare to enter into middle school always remember these few things: never stop believing in yourself and what you are capable of accomplishing, continue to do what you love and to try new activities/sports even if you are embarrassed or nervous, and don't be afraid to be smart even if some people tell you it's not cool. Never stop learning, growing, and thinking! I know you will persevere and soar to new heights in your new school and you will use your wisdom to make good decisions and choices. I love you more than you will ever know!
