Drop Off Traffic Flow
I= The student has not turned in work or has turned in minimal work (not enough to provide a rating of Pass) during remote learning.
P= The student has provided sufficient evidence for passing during remote learning.
Your child's teacher should have already contacted you if your child may get an Incomplete. Students will receive a passing grade if they completed 60% of the learning activities in their subject areas. If not, then an Incomplete will be documented.
Please note that an Incomplete does not mean a student has failed. It simply is to document the learning engagement during Remote Learning this Spring. All students will be moving onto the next grade level next year.

Read to Succeed
Congratulations to the 165 MES students who successfully completed the Six Flags Read to Succeed program! The FREE Great America tickets are now available for those students who participated in the program. If you registered your child, you should have received an email from Six Flags Read to Succeed that contains a link allowing you to download and print the ticket. If your child's teacher registered your child, she will be emailing you the ticket.
There are a few changes to note this year...1) tickets are valid for the entire 2020 season, and 2) prior to visiting the park, you MUST make an advance reservation at sixflags.com/reserve (This is very important as Six Flags will be setting capacity limits at each of their parks. Guests cannot just show up with a ticket.) If you have any questions, please contact Renee Marasco at firstname.lastname@example.org.
iPads Over the Summer
If you wish to return your iPad, please contact the office to arrange a time to drop off the device.
- Raz Kids
- Lexia Core 5
- EPIC (day time hours only)
- Fast Math
We will provide 10 recommend skills for ELA and Math for IXL for each grade level. We want to challenge students to get a Smart Score of 80 or higher on each of the ten skills before next school year. Can we do it? I think we can!
Also, packets will be available in our office for each grade level to work on skills. Office hours will be from 8-12 M-F during the summer. Packets will be available starting June 1.
2020-2021 Registration Packets
All families should have received their registration packet last week in your child's bag. If you did not, please contact the office. You can either mail in your packets or drop them off at our office. You are also welcome to drop them off during our material drop off on Tuesday, May 26, or Wednesday, May 27.
