Random Acts of Kindness- Positive Phone Calls Home
The admin team has set a goal to make 100 positive phone calls. We have pivoted and will do this on Friday, Feb. 17. We would LOVE to hear from you about which students deserve a phone call and why. To send us those names, please add them to the spreadsheet at the link below. Thank you!!!
Safety and Doors
As we have not yet had a state door inspection, it is likely we will have one in the next couple of months. Please continue to make sure of the following:
- All exterior doors are closed and locked and there are no items that could be used to prop them open near them.
- Classroom doors are closed and locked during instruction. This DOES NOT INCLUDE the nurse’s office, library or offices.
- *** Change*** If students are working in the hall, your door must be closed and locked, or you must be standing in your doorway at all times to monitor both groups.
Book Study!
The copies of Vocabulary Development Across the Day are in Emily's room on her back counter! Please feel free to swing by and take a peek! We are still accepting sign ups for the book study.

Valentine's Day
Just a reminder... Valentine's Day is not a designated party day. You are welcome to set aside time to exchange Valentines in your class and do fun, theme related instructional activities on this day.
BISD Learning Channel
The content coordinators have been working to put together short, on-demand videos for your teachers. They are located on the Professional Learning Website. Navigate to the BISD Learning Channel page where you will find a variety of topics such as Unpacking the TEKS and using Lead4ward tools. They are still adding videos and opportunities, but you can start checking it out now!
Need an adjustment to accommodations for a student?
Remember, you can always go to The Hub and request a change in accommodations or a needed update for a SPED, 504 or LPAC student. Especially this time of year, adjustments might need to be made. - If you are going to be out, please communicate with Julee via email or text (planned) or via text (un-planned/emergency) so that subs can be looked at first thing in the AM on the day you are out.
