A note from our principal...
Dear Families,
This year has brought about many changes. One of these is our whole morning routine. I am hoping you can all help us start the day is a smooth manner. I know traffic is an issue each morning as many of you drop off your students at CMUE and possibly even the middle or high school. Please be patient and let the buses leave the middle and high school to get our CMUE students to our bus lot. Please don’t pull out in between the buses or drive behind them in the exit lane. Hopefully next year, our morning will be planned with more time for students to get dropped off once Covid is in our rearview mirror.

Black History Month
For more than 40 years, February has been Black History Month. The precursor to Black History Month, however, is a lot older. Black leaders in 1926 dedicated the second week in February to the recognizing the history of African-Americans, a week chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln (Feb. 12) and Frederick Douglass (Feb. 14).

Sick Students at School
If students show any of the symptoms of Covid-19, we will be calling you to pick them up. In the past, we may have let them rest or tried other remedies to see if things improved. We can no longer do that.
Please have a plan in place to ensure that your child can be picked up within 30 minutes if the school calls. This will help keep all of our students and staff members safe.
Please use the daily health screener for students. If your child has any symptoms or does not feel well, please DO NOT send them to school.
Visitors to the UE Office
Visitors in the CMUE office are required to wear a mask and complete a health screener.
