¡TRIMESTRE 2!
Happy Trimester 2 of the 2022-2023 school year! We really enjoyed observing the student performances and creativity throughout our Trimester 1 curriculums.
A few tips for starting Trimester 2 strong:
- Students should charge their Chromebook each night
- Students should have a Spanish notebook (kept in the classroom)
- Students should be using a folder system (folder, binder, accordion, etc.)
- Check Infinite Campus regularly
¡La Copa Mundial!
The World Cup!
The World Cup is underway! We look forward to revisiting this event throughout the month. We will reference the World Cup in different ways for the different grade levels. Check out Andrew's performance in Maestra Wege's Competencia de "¡GOOOOOOOOL!"
¡Los estudiantes del 6° grado!
El tema: Los intereses
In the sixth grade, we have begun our second unit, Los intereses. This unit's vocabulary includes weather descriptions and infinitive activity verbs. Students will apply infinitive activity verbs to a variety of like and dislike expressions.
*6th Grade work samples
Take a look at the hard work of our sixth-grade scholars. Shown is one of the Día de Los Muertos writing projects from the end of our first unit, La información personal. From our second unit, you can see weather notes and a weather forecast visual that students created.

El tema: La familia
Our seventh-grade students are currently wrapping up the family unit. Check out the student-created family albums below. Students had the option of describing their family or their assigned host family.
La familia Domnitz
Una descripción de Lucy y su hermano (brother).
La familia Ellis
Una descripción del papá de Essence.
La familia Pendelton
Un descripción de Erica y su hermana (sister).
¡Los estudiantes del 8° grado!
El tema: ¡Buen provecho! {Enjoy your meal!}
Eighth-grade scholars have started their second unit as well, ¡Buen provecho! Our vocabulary for this unit relates to many students' favorite thing, food! We have already reviewed a large variety of food vocabulary and how to discuss our preferences of different foods. To discuss their preferences students will use the verbs preferir, querer, and gustar. To practice and apply our skills we will be bringing a food truck to Glen Hills for the scholars to order lunch from. Students will NOT need to bring money!
