September 2nd, 2022

Dear Bryant Families,

What an INCREDIBLE first week of school for our 1st-5th grade students! It has been such a blast to see the kiddos and to see the amazing things they are already doing! Thank you so much for sharing your kiddos with us and for all of your support! We truly do appreciate it! We will also welcome our kindergartens on Tuesday and can't wait to bring them into this amazing Bryant Family!

Please be sure to read all parts of this newsletter as we have some big things coming up! If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Questions on Lunches/Breakfast

Many have asked if there will be a charge for meals at Bryant this year and I am pleased to say there will not be a charge this school year. Even though there will not be a charge, we still need all families to fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch Application. If you need help, a computer or anything else, please reach out the main office. Thank you!

Benchmark Testing

We will begin benchmark testing for all students (K-5th grade) next week. This first testing window is to assess where students are at in their learning and to create smaller groupings of students targeted at the skills they need. The testing window will be September 6th-9th with make-up testing the following week.

Bryant Alliance Meeting Reminder

We will begin our regularly scheduled monthly meetings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th. We are going back to in-person meetings this year and will be meeting in the hub area. It's exciting to be able to conduct these meetings face to face again. Here are a few topics that will be discussed.

  • Discussion and election of officers
  • Set date for Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser
  • Other fundraisers and initiatives
  • Promotion and recruitment of new members

Please join if you can and bring as many parents as possible!

Personal Toys, Cards, Stuffed Animals, etc.

We have seen an increase in toys and other personal items on the playground as we progressed through this week. We ask that you do not send these items with your students. Often times items can be lost, stolen or broken when brought to school and it causes more heartache than joy in the end. Please check backpacks for these items and remind students they are not to be brought to school. Thank you for your cooperation!

Cell Phones and Watches

Students are not to have cell phones out for any reason during the school day. They may have them for before and after school but they are to be turned off and not in use during the day. If a phone is seen, we will collect the phone and ask you to pick it up in the main office. If a student needs to get ahold of you, they can use our student phone in the office.

Supervision on the Playground

It is extremely important to remember that we do not have playground supervision until 8:00 A.M. each morning. Please DO NOT drop your students off before 8:00 A.M. If you have any questions on this, please contact me.

Donations Wanted

If you are looking to donate clothing, we are in desperate need of smaller sizes of clothing for our clothing closet. We will take an clothing size XS-MED. Thank you so much!
