Once you are in, you are in until you request that we take you out. Once you are enrolled ,there is a

6 MONTH WAITING PERIOD before you can utilize the bank.

Involuntarily Transferred without Cause.........It Could Happen to You, Like it Happened to Me and So Many Others!

After years of hard work from the bottom, establishing yourself in your field, earning certifications, working late, taking on more than your fair share of work, earning your degree(s) and dedicating yourself to the work of PGCPS, it is unimaginable for most of us, that a capricious or arbitrary decision could upend our career overnight. It can happen and then you find yourself in the fight of your life.

This is a fight that you can't believe you have been thrust into, because you've never received an unsatisfactory evaluation or written up for at all. I know it's hard to believe, but it happens. We must stand up against this madness every time it rears it's ugly head and we must support each other. Often times we hear about situations and think, "oh they must have done something!" None of us are perfect and we could all stand a little room for improvement at some point , but administrators must demand the same respect that other educators get when it comes involuntary transfers or demotions. We intend to take this argument as far as it needs to go for this practice to stop now!!

FFT Certification Required - Newly Assigned Assistant Principals

Assistant Principals please be reminded that your job description includes a statement about completing FFT certification within 6 months of your assuming the position. Please be adamant and vigilant about attending all of the training opportunities to ensure your success. Hopefully, you will have a principal that will support you in your efforts, however you must be prepared to advocate for yourself and protect your livliehood at all costs. Whenever clarification is necessary contact this office for assistance.

You do not want to be in a situation where you did not meet a specified requirement of the job, giving cause for someone to try to remove you from your position.

Please know that this is very serious business and we will fight for you, but we must first be proactive. So consider yourself warned.

Don't Talk About It, Be About it!!
