River Mill Elementary Weekly Newsletter-Oct. 19th
Important Information about what is happening at River Mill!
BIG THANK YOU to our PTO, Parent Volunteers, and Jason and Meagan Gates of Events ect. for all your hard work and support in making our fall festival a great event.
Another exciting announcement. This year Jog-A-Thon brought in $9, 380.45, for our classrooms! That is more then we have ever made! Thank you all for your support!
Next week is Red Ribbon Week. We spend this week raising awareness about drug and alcohol abuse. We have age-appropriate activities planned each day, with a dress-up theme. See below for details.
Attendance a big priority for us this year. Classrooms are working towards their classroom goals and our school-wide goals. 4th grade won the best attendance for three weeks in a row before 5th grade took over last week! Mrs. Harris is putting together support groups for students that have already missed 5 or more days of school. Permission slips will be sent home with students that qualify. Students are 172% more likely to graduate if they attend school regularly.
Conferences will be November 19th and 20th. We will have sign up sheets in the hallway for two weeks if you want a specific time. After that Teachers will send out an invite for you, with the time and date you will be assigned to come for conferences.
