3rd Grade PSSA - Information
Dear Broad Street Families,
A typical part of springtime in schools is the completion of state mandated standardized tests. Unlike last Spring when there was an approved federal waiver from taking these exams, Mechanicsburg Area School District is required to administer the PSSA/PASA and Keystone Exams for the 2020-2021 school year. While doing all that we can to preserve a continuity of instruction this spring, we will move forward with these exams before the last student day on June 8th.
Broad Street Testing Dates:
All testing will be completed in the morning from approximately 8:15 – 9:30 AM.
ELA
o Thursday, May 27
o Friday, May 28
o Tuesday, June 1
Math
o Wednesday, June 2
o Thursday, June 3
Attendance and participation during these exams is critical to gain proper data for district and state purposes.
We do recognize a family’s right to opt-out of these state assessments. Families who wish to opt-out of these assessments should send a letter or email to the school’s main office that includes your child’s name and grade level along with whether you are seeking a religious exemption or opting out for other reasons.
Please click on the documents below for PSSA FAQ’s, Code of Conduct for Testing, and Electronic Device Protocols, etc.
Thank you for your continued flexibility and understanding as we work to navigate this requirement before the end of the school year.
