Happy Month of Mary!
We had so much fun with the new additions to our team last week! Thank you to each and everyone of our young friends on the responsibility they used in fulfilling their role for a day. We had fun and hope you did too. There are more pictures below.
We continued our celebration of Mary by having our second graders lead us in Crowning Mary. Mary is not only the Queen of Heaven and Earth, each day we can crown her the Queen of our hearts. As Catholics, we venerate Mary, we honor her. We do not worship her. We believe Jesus when he spoke from the cross and said, "Behold your mother." He was not only giving Mary to John to love and care for, but he was giving each of his followers throughout time Mary as a Spiritual Mother.
Our 5th and 6th grade students are preparing for their final Mass on June 1. This is also their last day of school for the year. Following the Mass will be a brief program and we will send our friends on their way! The parents are putting together a luncheon in the gym and then an afternoon adventure. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. W. She has been coordinating the communication.
Don't forget, tomorrow is the last day to register for the Talent Show!
Have a wonderful weekend!
St. Therese, Sts. Cyril and Methodius, and St. Vincent Ferrer (Patron Saint of Construction Workers), pray for us!

Virtue of the Week: Hope
Definition: Enables one to desire God above all things and to trust Him for personal salvation.
Prayer: O Lord God, I hope by Your grace for the pardon of all my sins and after life here to gain eternal happiness, because You have promised it, Who are infinitely powerful, faithful, kind, and merciful. In this hope I intend to live and die. Amen.

Re-enroll Now for 2023-2024!
We are no longer accepting Wednesday students for 4-year preschool or enrichment. We do have a waiting list. We still have room on Wednesdays for 3-year-old preschool.
We also still have room for Kindergarten Readiness, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade Students for our elementary program.
We do have financial support for elementary available, so, please, reach out if we can help!
You Can Get There from Here...Sort of...Construction Update
The construction company has put a gravel/dirt passageway between Plum Street and our parking lot. This will be the easiest way to access the school for the time being.
For Pick Up and Drop Off: You may park behind Calvary Church and walk to St. Therese to pick up your child. While we are receiving information about the progress of the project, we can't guarantee there won't be a piece of equipment between you and the school.
For Students who ride the bus: We have already gotten permission slips to walk students to the corner of Sycamore and S. Main to meet the bus. This will continue for the rest of the school year.
For Students who walk to school: your child will need to cross the street at Sycamore. Since they have your permission to walk home, we do not need an additional permission slip. Please just know that their walk will include a 2 block detour around the construction zone.
Now Hiring for 2023-2024
Administrative Assistant: In a small school, people wear many hats and that is especially true for the person in our front office. As the face of our school to the community, we are looking for someone who is warm and has a ready smile. As the hub of the activity, the administrative assistant has to be organized and ready to lead by example. Things change quickly and they must have the flexibility to move from applying a band-aid to troubleshooting our student information system within the same breath. This is a full-time hourly position.
Support Team Member: This paid part-time position will be 15-20 hours per week and will consist of supervising our hot lunch program as well as helping out in the school office. We can guarantee that our students will bring a smile to your face! We are hoping to fill this position within the next month so that our new team member can train with Mrs. Betty.
Visit our website for more information on any of our open positions!
