Weekly Update

Week of May 23-27

Last Day of ExCEL June 3rd

What a jam packed week! This week we wrapped out visit with Sally from the STEM bus. our students were so engaged and curious with all their learning from Sally. We want to thank all the volunteers for supporting STEM night. We had 23 families and 39 students come explore science, technology, engineering and math activities. It was so wonderful to welcome families into the building and watch the interactions and collaboration between parents, students and siblings. We look forward to our future events. We have such a wonderful community. Next activity is Friday May 27th Come cheer on our students at the Jog-a-Thon. Wear your yellow and blue and make signs!

Our K-3 students enjoyed a visit from Sparky, Smokey, the Cascade Locks volunteer fire department, and local Oregon woodland firefighters. They got to listen to a safety talk, explore the engines, and meet Sparky and Smokey! I think we definitely have some future firefighters in our building.
