From Mrs. Archambault and Mrs. Brooks

Digging into Learning!

Reading- Throughout this month, students are reading various fiction texts. We have been analyzing characters, determining themes, summarizing texts and identifying plot elements. Students are also analyzing poetry, and recognizing literary techniques such as personification.


Math- We are finishing a unit in division. Students have been able to interpret remainders in word problems.


Writing- In writing, students are writing their own realistic fiction text with plot elements.


Science- We are currently learning about light, sound, and heat energy. Students have shared their amazing science fair projects!


Social Studies- In social studies, students are finishing a unit on the five themes of geography as it pertains to North Carolina's regions and cities.
