Have an idea for a great new lesson but no time to put it together? Want to track down some great new resources for your classes but are short on time?
No problem - That's part of my job! - Curating resources and collaborating with you on lessons. Stop by or shoot me an email if you have an idea that you want to implement, or you need resource ideas/lists.
Here is an example of a Google Site I recently put together for a 1984 Lit Circle Unit. This week, I also curated a list of Spanish Culture novels for World Languages. They are ordering class sets to incorporate literacy and culture and potentially research into their curriculum.

Science Journal from Google
Science Journal is a mobile app that runs on Android devices, iOS devices, and newer Chromebooks. The app uses the sensors built into your device to collect real-world data.
Students can:
- Collect data with sensors for light, sounds, motion, direction, magnetism, barometric pressure, and more (depending on the device).
- Take notes to go along with the data collected.
- Export the data as a CSV file to open in Google Sheets (or other programs) for additional analysis, charts, and graphs.
Check Out These Recommended Real World Science Resources from Common Sense Media
Students can collect and interpret data, create theories, test them, and develop models to explain real-world phenomena. These websites and apps seed ideas for fun, safe experiments and encourage students to actually try them to benefit the greater good. Great for extension learning beyond the classroom!
