So Much To Catch Up On....
Saying Goodbye to Miss B. and Our Surprise!
We hated to bid a fond farewell to Miss B last week. A grand thank you to everyone who sent in pictures and helped the students create one of a kind messages to Miss B. She loved everything and cried great big crocodile tears! A special thank you to Melissa Moss for providing our goodbye with a special nut-free sweet treat.
Although saying goodbye to Miss B was terribly hard, the kids were in for a HUGE surprise this week when they learned she would be the new Math Lab teacher!! Great things are in store for her, and we are so happy she gets to stay with us at MDE. Please keep her in your thoughts as she crosses the big stage at TAMU on December 16th!Proud Teacher Moments!!!!
Shout out to Jake for a FANTASTIC job as Horton!
Congrats to Sara and Ellie for being soccer superstars!!

Our Week In Social Studies
We are moving right along through Texas history, and we've said "hola" to the many Spanish explorers who came to Texas looking for riches and land. We are now studying the missions they build for protection and for the spreading of Christianity to the Caddos and Karankawas.

Better Together: Co Teaching in 4th Grade
As many of you may know, Ms. Lindsay and Mrs. Mozisek love love love math and science. They are our resident experts on these subjects, having taught them for a combined total of 32 years, and we are proud to showcase their talents in a large group setting. Our class was privileged to have Mrs. Mozisek come teach her "box method" of division to us last week. It resulted in many light bulb moments for the students.
In my case, I adore writing, so I've had the opportunity to work with 4th grade to introduce brainstorming and structure to the expository essay. Since I am a history major, I've spent many years writing papers that "explain." It is a joy to be able to work with all of 4th grade on this important skill.
We are so lucky to have a team that has so much to share!
