Who is she?

Her full name is Joanne Rowling. When she first published the Harry Potter books, she wanted to have her gender unknown, so she went under the initials "J.K". the "K" stood for her grandmother's name "Kathleen". J.K Rowling is famous for her work as the author of the book series "Harry Potter" and how she turned her book into an empire, which also consists of a major theme park. She used to work as a researcher for Amnesty University and She also moved to Portugal working as a Language teacher for a short amount of time.

J.K Rowling was born on July 31, 1965. Her parents are Anne Volant Rowling and Peter Rowling. She had one sibling whose name was Dianne Rowling. She went to Exeter University, where she earned her degree in French & Classics spending a year in Paris to earn it.

A new Harry Potter play is going to be known as the eighth book in the series. Titled Harry Potter and the cursed child, it is placed 19 years after the Deathly Hallows (7th book). J.K Rowling revealed this in a synopsis on Pottermore on Oct. 23rd.
