The Great Muscular System

Join us on this expedition of the human body

The Muscles

The picture you see here(below) is a picture of all the muscles in the body. These muscles might not look like they do a lot but don't let their size fool you. If humans didn't have the muscular system their would be no such thing as humans, without this system we couldn't breathe, move, or even have a beating heart.

The Main Muscles

Here are some of the muscles that are the most important

-rectus abdominis

-pectoralis major

-gluteus maximus

These muscles are important to us because without these muscles we would not be able to make any movements due to them being both supports and organs that give propulsion to our body.

The Crucial Cartilages

A muscle isn't the only helpful thing in the muscular system. The muscular system contains something called cartilage.Cartilage is a support that the muscles hold onto which attaches them to the bones. Here are some of the main ones

-Sternum

-Flexor Carpi Ulnaris

-Flexor Digitorum

-Flexor Carpi Radialis

Cartilage can be found in ligaments and tendons.

How and Why They Work Together

The muscles and the pieces of cartilage or supports work together because if there were no muscles then we would not be able to move, but if there were no supports then the muscles would not be able to connect to the bones properly and they wouldn't be able to flex as much as they can today. They do this because the muscles use the cartilage and supports as if they were the steel cables on a suspension bridge that is hooking them to the muscles so that they could still "sway in the wind". The supports and the muscles do this because the supports have flexible cartilage in them that is still strong and easy to hook up to, while the muscles provide all the power for the body to move.

The Levels Of Orginazatoin

-Muscle cells are the basis of all muscles

-Muscle tissue is found in almost all organisms

-Muscle organs like the deltoid

-Muscle system is the system that works along side skeletal system
